A fantastic weeks fishing. Tuesday saw our popular pensioners special once again with many anglers availing of this offer , Wednesday saw many avail of our various 4 hour sessions with plentiful fish being caught just below the surface. Friday Saw a busy lake with Anglers enjoying the Friday afternoon weather , our 4th stocking arrived shortly before 4pm giving another boost to our resident fish. A fantastic 9lb triploid brown was introduced amongst the stocking , Both Saturday & Sunday was busy with Anglers catching on varied methods both on the surface & below with Sandy Dorian Weed Fly & J.M Fly patterns doing the business. George Freel was a busy man this week & has plenty of bookings already booked in for June for fly coaching lessons , George has some limited slots available - Neill Walker has availability this month. We say fare thee well to our Old Timer Jack who is retiring this week from the Business side of things here at Hillside and will instead be enjoying Angling & Coffee “all 40 cups a day :)”. We have teamed up with local Fly Tier & Staff Member Jonathan Matthews who is the CEO of J.M Flies , Jonathan offers Anglers Traditional Fly Patterns & indeed loves adding Older Patterns to his collection. All flies are £1:20 each or 3 For £3. All of which are available in store at the Fishery. Jonathan also does flies to order Many fish are caught regularly with this remarkable mans flies.

All Angling at all times will be on a first come first served basis & booking is advisable. ————— As Weekends are generally the busiest times of a trout Fly Fishery , as such normal daily Rates apply to all Anglers.
